TRAVELLERS have moved on to a field in Durrington.
The Herald has received calls from readers who say the field, between Titnore Lane and Romany Road, near the David Lloyd leisure centre, has about six caravans currently parked on it.
Adur and Worthing District Commander, Chief Inspector Ian Pollard, said: “I can confirm that a small number of Travellers have moved onto land at the rear of the David Lloyd leisure centre. We were at this location last night with Paul Yallop, leader of Worthing Borough Council, and Tom Wye, county councillor, and following a discussion it was agreed the council would apply to remove the Travellers through their legal process.”
