IN response to our story below (Imberhorne Nursery to become Travellers site?) Mid Sussex District Council has issued a statement saying that is has had to find suitable sites for permanent Gypsy and Traveller sites to comply with National planning policy.
Cllr Norman Webster, Cabinet Member for Planning, said that following ‘rigorous assessment’ the need in Mid Sussex area up to 2031 is for 34 permanent pitches.
