From Bedford On Sunday
A GROUP of Travellers have moved onto Jubilee Park in Bedford.
Between 15 and 20 caravans and large vehicles went onto the site on Thursday, near the Moulton Avenue side of the park.
A council spokesman said: “The council is aware of an unauthorised encampment at Jubilee Park.
“Encampments such as these are unacceptable and the council is working with the police, to take all necessary legal steps to remove the encampment as a matter of urgency.” It is
understood some residents have been told the caravans will move on tomorrow.
Travellers had previously parked on the same site around six years ago but moved off the following morning.
