Travellers have been removed from Oaklands Park after Chichester District Council was granted a court order today.
A spokesperson for Chichester District Council said: “We served notice on the group of Travellers on Oaklands Park however they did not leave as directed by 5pm on Tuesday 4 June.
“Worthing Magistrates Court granted our application for an order that the vehicles and caravans be removed from the park today (Friday, June 7). All the Travellers have vacated the land this afternoon. Council staff are undertaking a clean-up of the area this afternoon as the group left some rubbish behind them.”
It is thought the Travellers have moved on to land in Selsey.
