Travellers in fresh call for permanent site in Aberdeen - Aberdeenshire

MORE than 40 Traveller caravans were today camped on sites in Aberdeen.

The camps were set up on Minto Drive, Altens, where there were nine caravans, on Greenbank Place, Tullos, where there were more than 11 and Calder Park, where there were 20.

Travellers were also pitched up at Aberdeen Energy Park in Bridge of Don but vacated the area yesterday. The encampments around Aberdeen led to fresh calls from Travellers themselves for a large permanent site.
