Chesterton: Police Raid Traveller's Site - Cambridgeshire

Two men have been arrested following a raid at a Traveller's site in Cambridge.

Police raided the site on Fen Road in Chesterton at around 7am this morning (Wednesday).

The raid was part of an investigation into money laundering and handling stolen goods.

Officers have spent the day searching premises and vehicles [pictured - top right] at the site.

Cambridgeshire Police say a 'substantial' amount of cash has been recovered, along with jewellery and silverware.

Two Mercedes cars were also seized by Police during the raid.

A 21 year old man was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

A 47 year old man was arrested on suspicion of money laundering.

Both men are being held in custody at Parkside Police Station in Cambridge.
