Caravan seized by police as Travellers move onto private land - Cambridgeshire

From the Peterborough Telegraph

Tuesday 5.15pm: A caravan has been seized by police after Travellers moved onto private land in Hampton today.

Police were called to land on Clayburn Road, Hampton, Peterborough, at about 1.55pm today, after reports about six caravans and cars had moved onto the land.

A police spokesman said one driver did not have the correct licence to tow a caravan, and the van was seized.

He said because no other offences were being committed by the Travellers, they would be left on the road, and it was down to the land owner to move them.
