CONTROVERSIAL plans to close a garden centre and install a Gypsy and Travellers’ site in its place have been blasted as “scandalous” by furious residents.
Mid Sussex District Council has chosen a plot of land in East Grinstead, which is currently home to Imberhorne Lane Nursery, as one of two locations in the district where it intends to house Travellers.
