Travellers quit car park after eviction notice served - Aberdeenshire

From the Evening Express

GROUP of Travellers has deserted a car park after being served an eviction notice.

More than a dozen caravans had pitched up at the site in Potterton, off Panmure Gardens, sparking outrage among residents.

There were claims the group was intimidating residents and dumping rubbish in the area.

But there were delays in dealing with the Travellers – because Aberdeenshire Council couldn’t find the documentation to prove they owned the land.

However, an eviction notice has now been issued by Aberdeen Sheriff Court.

Councillor Allan Hendry confirmed the entire group left the day the notice was granted.
