Further opportunities to have a say on Hartlepool Gypsy sites - County Durham

From the Hartlepool Mail

RESIDENTS have further opportunities this week to have a say on plans for a Gypsy and Traveller pitch in Hartlepool.

The consultation follows the formal examination earlier this year of Hartlepool Borough Council’s proposed new Local Plan by a Government planning inspector, which was suspended after he called on officers to carry out further work to find an appropriate site in Hartlepool.

The 13 original sites are: land at West View Road, Throston Grange Lane, two areas in Burbank Street, Catcote Road/Macaulay Road, Wiltshire Way, Old Cemetery Road, Lennox Walk/Owton Manor Lane, Masefield Road/Gulliver Road, Hart smallholdings east and west, near Hart village, and Summerhill, off Catcote Road.

Other sites in the consultation are Briarfields, land at Clarence Road and land at Huckelhoven Way/Reed Street which are subject to a separate eight-week public consultation taking place tonight at Place In The Park, in Ward Jackson Park, from 4pm to 7pm, on Tuesday at Burbank Community Centre, Burbank Street, from 4pm to 7pm and Thursday at Mill House Leisure Centre, in Raby Road, from 3pm to 6pm.
