Travellers who had moved onto the old Padleys site on Mildenhall Road, after being forced to leave another site, are now understood to have left Bury St Edmunds altogether, police have said.
The Travellers moved onto the site over the weekend of April 20 and 21 after a legal notice was served on them at Kempson Way.
Police say there was no sign of forced entry to the Padleys site but it has been left ‘heavily littered’ and unsecured.
