Travellers set up camp at Irvine Moor - North Ayreshire

IRVINE’S MP has once again hit out at travellers after a group ‘set up camp’ on Irvine Moor.

Brian Donohoe is urging North Ayrshire Council to take action to stop any groups of Travellers entering the Moor, even suggesting blocking access.

The Times told in March how Mr Donohoe - a vehement campaigner on issues relating to the travelling community - spoke out against Travellers leaving rubbish strewn in Irvine’s Meadowhead Avenue.

The local politician has again called on NAC to implement greater restrictions to Travellers setting up illegal encampments.
