CONTROVERSIAL plans for a Travellers’ site near Emsworth have been turned down.
Consent was sought for two mobile homes, two caravan pitches and two utility rooms on a site off Main Road, Nutbourne.
Almost 100 letters were received by Chichester District Council objecting to the development.
Chichester Harbour Conservancy objected as it said the development could adversely impact the character of the area. Councillors voted eight to one to refuse planning permission.
