A GROUP of travellers who set up camp in a public car park in Taunton have been given 24 hours to leave.

The group along with approximately eight caravans was seen on the site in Priory Bridge Road yesterday (March 21).
A spokesman for Taunton Deane Council said: "We have met with the Travellers who are illegally parking overnight at Priory Bridge Road car park.
"We have served them with notices giving 24 hours to leave. If they do not leave we will consider taking legal action."
