Statement from Harlow Council - Essex

From Harlow Council

Councillor Emma Toal, Portfolio Holder for Youth & Citizenship, said:

“The encampment is on Harlow Council land. We are working to resolve the situation as soon as possible. This is about protecting the town’s green spaces and upholding the law. We served notice to the Travellers this morning, we will do everything we have the legal power to do as swiftly as possible. There is a legal process to follow.”
