Make Mellishaw Park Traveller site healthy, habitable and decent - petition - Lancashire

From Avaaz

Travellers at Mellishaw Park Traveller Site in Heysham, Lancashire have been living in unacceptable conditions for some years, despite there being Government money available for the kind of improvements that are necessary. The site is owned by Lancashire County Council, who are simply refusing to move on this issue. Most seriously, there is an inadequate drainage system which floods every time it rains even after it has been pumped out by Lancaster City Council. Additionally mould is continually growing in the cooking and wahing blocks due, apparently, to condensation. This is a threat to the health of the residents.
